ND U18 United 2009-2010 BCSA Coastal B Cup Champions

Congratulations to Kyle Nairn, Carson Anderson, Manjot Virk, Dennis Forbes, Cody Egan, Alex Cienciala, Brian Vickers, Aronne Habisch, Jonathan Ketchem, Matthew Frank, Michael Forentos, Cole Lawrence, Matt Wong, Blake Prentice, Matthew Sanders, Cody Phillips, Dylan Deppiesse, Blake Bishop from North Delta U18 United.  They are the 2009-2010 BCSA Coastal B Cup Champions by defeating the Cowichan Valley Wolves on Saturday April 24th in Richmond!

It was a closely contested game with no score after regulation time. In the first extra time period North Delta scored to go ahead, however Cowichan Valley tied the game on a questionable hand ball goal with North Delta down to 10 men and forced it into penalty kicks.  In penalty kicks, which North Delta had yet to lose in, brilliant goalkeeping and sure-fire goal scoring saw North Delta come away victorious – a 4-3 win. North Delta United will now prepare for the Provincial Championship in Aldergrove July 8 – 11th.

                                                           * World Cup 2010 Quotation *

“I actually would like to know myself what went wrong. We didn't perform. As simple as that ... it was a sad one for the fans and for the country, but I think we should move on now."

                                                          ~Thierry Henry
