2019 Spring League

We are excited to announce Spring Registration for 2019 is OPENING on JANUARY 10, 2019!  We will be offering the Spring Soccer League to ages U5-U13. The Cascadia League will be bigger and better this spring for U8+ and we are excited to be a part of it again. 

  • Fall/Winter 2019/2020 Teams will be kept together when possible.

  • Development Teams will have 2 practises a week and a game. The second practise will be in our Spring Academy Program (run by our technical staff) on Monday. This will be included in the spring fees see below.

We hope to see you all on the field for the Spring 2019 season. Don't wait to register as we will only take registrations if we have a coaches in place for teams.  Great weather, great soccer and great fun for all players!

 


Program Information

 

DEVELOPMENT SPRING PROGRAM

The NDSC Spring program offers specialized training by our qualified coaches and staff coaches in a positive, encouraging and age appropriate environment.  Players will be focusing on developing both their individual technical skills along with their team skills that can be practised during a game setting.   Players will be placed in training groups based on age and in accordance to long term player development.  Players may be moved up an age level on the recommendation of the TD, staff coaches and volunteer coaches.   All teams will train and play under the guidance of our trained staff coaches as well as our certified and approved volunteer head coaches. We encourage coaches to continue developing their players/teams over the spring.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?      

  • two training sessions a week –  one training session is part of the Academy Program and one training session is with the team.

  • staff coaches for academy sessions

  • certified volunteer head coaches for the second session

  • scrimmages when/where possible

  • training on grass and turf where possible

  • games will be scheduled by Cascadia Spring League

  • Please note that this program is only for current DEVELOPMENT players who are currently in these programs for the Fall/Winter 2019/2020 Season.  Based on players numbers, we may invite club players into the DEVELOPMENT program and therefore a difference of fees will need to be paid.

 

CLUB LEVEL

The NDSC Spring program offers specialized training by our certified volunteer coaches in a positive, encouraging and age appropriate environment.  Players will be focusing on developing both their individual technical skills along with their team skills that can be practised during a game setting.   Players will be placed in training groups based on age and in accordance to long term player development.  Players may be moved up an age level on the recommendation of the TD, staff coaches and volunteer coaches.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?      

  • one training session a week with an approved and certified volunteer coach

  • program is overlooked by our TD and staff coaches

  • scrimmages when/where possible

  • training on grass and turf where possible

  • games will be scheduled by Cascadia spring league for U8+

  • games will be inter-club play for U5-U7

  • Registration Fee $155 (Club Program)

    • 1 game per week - Saturdays

    • Ages: U5 - U13 (born 2014 to 2006)

    • U14-U18:  We will only accept "team" registrations so if your child is interested in playing spring soccer, please talk to your current Coach and/or Coordinator.

Spring Training Schedule

Please note this schedule is subject to changes.


Season Dates

  • First week of Training (practices) Sessions:  Week of April 1st, 2019. Final Spring Training Schedule will be released in late March.

  • First day of Games:  April 6, 2019

  • No Games on Easter Long Weekend:  April 20, 2019

  • No Games on Victoria Long Day Weekend:  May 18, 2019

  • Last day of Games:  June 15, 2019


 

Please consider volunteering as a Coach or Assistant Coach for the Spring League.   Our Club is a volunteered based and without volunteers, we cannot run our spring league teams.  All teams will be created for each age group, once they have been formed, we will need 2 (or 3) parents to step up and Coach their child’s team.  We will also require one parent to step up as a Team Manager.  If we do not have parents volunteering to be Coaches for their child’s team, then unfortunately the team will need to be disbanded.  Please email admin@ndysc.com if you would like to Coach or Team Manager.


Refund Policy

  • After March 1st limited registrations will be accepted in age groups that have space but they will be charged an additional $50 administration fee per player.

  • Registration is not complete until paid in full. Players will not be placed on a team until registered.

  • Player Withdrawals after March 1st, 2019 are subject to a $50 administration fee.

  • No refunds after the 1st training session of the Spring Season.

Players in U14 and up who are interested in becoming more involved within the club should contact registrar@ndysc.com for more information on becoming a Coach during our spring season. Younger players love a chance to play with and look up to older players. Plus it gives you a chance to get your required volunteer hours for school doing something you love to do!
