Referee Training & Courses

To become a referee you first need to complete a BC SOCCER REFEREE course. There are two different courses based upon your age – some brief course details are below. If interested in registering for a course, go to the BC Soccer website: https://www.refcentre.com/bc/

 

Small Sided Referee Clinics

This course is offered to individuals who are no less than 12 years of age. Passing this course will allow an individual the ability to Referee games up to U12 (small sided soccer games).

Pre-requisite: Minimum 12 Years old

Clinic Length: 6 hours

Clinic Time: will depend on the request

Clinic Fee: $40.00 (plus $4.25 user fee / system processing fee)

 

Entry Level Referee Clinics

This is the entry point into 11v11. Passing this course will classify an individual as either a Youth Referee (14 or 15 yr olds) or District Referee (16 yrs old or older). This course will train an individual as a Referee and as an Assistant Referee.

Pre-requisite: Minimum 14 Years old by or on the day of the clinic

Clinic Length: 17 hours

Clinic Time: Friday 6PM-10PM - Saturday 9AM-5PM - Sunday 9AM-2PM

Clinic Fee: $125.00 (plus a $4.25 user fee / system processing fee)
